Jeyes Was Meant for Floors—Not Flesh
Imagine a sweet, innocent dog, wagging its tail, unaware of the danger lurking in the form of Jeyes Fluid. That is the story of Jade, like we have named her.
Her owners dipped her in Jeyes Fluid, mistakingly thinking that it can be used on a dog to kill ticks and fleas. However, this disinfectant can be toxic to dogs if ingested or absorbed through the skin. Jade had a terrible skin reaction, causing burns all over her body.
We took her to our vet, who treated the wounds and send her back to us with more medication. As soon as her wounds were healed, we took her back to our vet for sterilisation. On the operating table, they discover that she has a transmissible venereal tumor, a condition that requires chemo treatments.
As soon as her chemo treatments are completed and she has fully recovered, this sweet little girl is going to be looking for her forever home. PLEASE, if you can offer her a good home, contact us! - 4PAWS Animal Welfare Society
